YUST represents clients and provides services in all areas of law. Thanks to many years of successful practice, we have been able to established close professional contacts with colleagues in many regions of the Russian Federation and throughout the world, in order to provide our clients with the most comprehensive legal support.

● Law-making
With our participation

For many years, our partners and lawyers have been nominated as experts in the development of new legislation by the committees and commissions of both chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. We have participated in the drafting of the Civil Code, the Tax Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation laws “On joint-stock companies”, “On limited liability companies”, “On insolvency (bankruptcy)”, “On advocacy in the Russian Federation”, “On production sharing agreements”, “On foreign investments in the Russian Federation”, “On the safeguarding of competition” and on many other laws. And when the law needs changing, YUST’s experts are repeatedly asked to prepare amendments to the various legislative documents.

YUST is the official legal advisor to the Russian Football Union.

● Academic and Research Activities
Docendo discimus (By teaching we learn)

YUST regularly holds seminars for practicing lawyers on various aspects of law, organizes both national and international conferences; the firm’s experts deliver speeches and papers at conferences and symposiums on legal issues and take part in round-table discussions on the legal problems of the moment.

YUST’s experts lecture law students at the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Advocacy of the Moscow State Academy of Law, the People’s Friendship University of Russia, the Faculty of Law of the Moscow State University of Communications and the Higher School of Privatization and Entrepreneurship in Moscow. Our partners and lawyers publish articles on legal issues in both the law-specialized and popular press, and participate in current affairs programs on TV and radio.

● Contributions to Civil Society
A constitutional state is a state constituted by its citizens

YUST makes a significant contribution to the popularizing and strengthening of the legal profession in Russia by sponsoring the highest legal award, the “Themis” and the National Award for Advocacy.

YUST provides both organizational and legal aid to Russian sports societies.

YUST collaborates with Russia’s leading law schools and universities (the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Moscow State Insitute of International Relations, the Moscow State Academy of Law, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia) and provides promising students of those universities with internships and permanent employment opportunities.

● Social Aid
Pro bono publico (For the sake of the public good)

We believe we cannot remain detached from the most important social problems of our time. YUST supports one of the most insecure social groups: disabled and abandoned children. We have a policy of helping the children in such homes and we participate in charity programs for physically and mentally-challenged children.
